A 3-month-old baby girl was stoned and had a seizure while walking on an outdoor walki-talki in Florida, authorities said Wednesday.
The girl’s mother and father, who are not being named, were arrested on charges of child abuse and aggravated battery and face a possible jail term of up to 15 years, authorities told CNN affiliate WPTV in Tampa.
They were charged in the first incident, which happened on July 6, WTSP reported.
The child was stung by a tree branch as she walked with her parents, who were at a house in West Tampa, Florida, police said.
The child had a stinging reaction and required medical treatment, WPTV reported.
The mother was arrested and was released on bail, the station said.
The toddler was not wearing a mask at the time of the incident, WPtv reported.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
