The National Hockey League has extended its lockout-ending agreement through the end of the season.
The league announced Wednesday the extension, which covers all 32 teams.
The extension will expire at midnight ET on Nov. 19.
The players have until the end the NHL season on Oct. 31 to opt out of the agreement.
The NHL has not announced a salary cap.
The NHL is expected to announce the next contract extension in coming days.
The current agreement expires on Dec. 31.
