Juventus star Gervinho has been one of the best goalscorers in Serie A this season, but he can also be a threat on the flanks.
Gervinho scored 10 goals in Serie B last season, including two in the Copa del Rey final against Sassuolo, but it was his performance in the Champions League group stage against Atletico Madrid that made him a target for Juventus.
Juventus lost 3-1 to Atletico, with Gervimani’s free-kick allowing Antonio Conte’s men to take the lead.
Conte was quick to take advantage and scored his second goal in the first minute of injury time, from a corner.
He would go on to score another five goals for Juventus in the following three matches.
Gerrão was also on Juventus’ bench during the 2-1 win over Inter Milan, which also took Juventus through to the last eight of the Champions.
Juventus went on to win the game 2-0 on aggregate.
Conte said after the match: “Gervimano is an attacking midfielder and I’m happy that he has done well in the group stage.
He can be dangerous on the right wing, but also plays the role of a playmaker, especially on the counter attack.
He has the potential to be a very good player in Serie C.”
